Disciplinary Committee

Student Behavior and Discipline

At Soofia International School, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported. We believe that positive behavior is essential for effective learning, and we strive to guide students in developing self-discipline, responsibility, and respect for others.

Our approach to discipline is rooted in care and understanding, ensuring that students are supported in making positive choices while maintaining high standards of conduct.

Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct clearly outlines the expected standards of behavior for all students. It emphasizes core values such as respect, responsibility, honesty, and integrity.Students are encouraged to:

  • Treat others with respect and kindness
  • Take responsibility for their actions
  • Follow school rules and guidelines
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards learning

We also encourage parents to actively engage with their children in understanding the Code of Conduct, helping to build a strong partnership between home and school in promoting positive behavior.

Disciplinary Procedures

At Soofia, we follow a restorative approach to discipline. This means that instead of focusing solely on punishment, we aim to understand the reasons behind a student’s behavior and guide them toward improvement.

Our disciplinary procedures are:

01.

Fair and consistent, ensuring equal treatment for all students

02.

Supportive, focusing on guidance and growth

03.

Educational, helping students learn from their actions

The School Disciplinary Committee (SDC)

The School Disciplinary Committee (SDC) plays a central role in maintaining discipline and upholding the values of the school. Comprising experienced teachers and administrators, the committee works collaboratively to address behavioral concerns in a structured and balanced manner. The SDC ensures that all disciplinary matters are handled fairly and transparently, while also providing guidance and support to students. By working closely with parents, teachers, and students, the committee helps create a culture of accountability, respect, and continuous improvement within the school.

Student Representative Council (SRC)

The Student Representative Council (SRC) is an important platform that gives students a voice within the school community. Comprised of elected student representatives, the SRC acts as a bridge between students and the school administration. It plays a key role in promoting student leadership, responsibility, and active participation in school life. Through the SRC, students are encouraged to express their ideas, address concerns, and contribute to creating a positive and inclusive school environment. This involvement helps students develop leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Grievance Resolution

We believe that open communication and mutual respect are essential for maintaining a healthy school environment. Students and parents are encouraged to share any concerns or grievances in a constructive and respectful manner. The school has established clear and transparent procedures to ensure that all concerns are addressed promptly and fairly. Our goal is to resolve issues in a way that is supportive, respectful, and beneficial for everyone involved, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued within the Soofia community.
